Dantrolene

 

  • Intravenous dantrolene is indicated to reverse the symptoms of the Malignant Hyperthermic crisis syndrome occurring during or following surgery or anesthesia. FMGE 2025

 

 

Amiadarone:

 

  • Amiodarone is a class III anti-arrhythmic agent, which has now been shown to be very effective in terminating both atrial and ventricular arrhythmias. However, administration of this drug has been known to cause lung  fibrosis. In addition has Class I, II and IV Properties also.

Amiloride:

 

  • Pottasium sparing diuretics.
  • Saluretic effect is greater than thiazides          
  • Block Na+ channels in collecting duct.

Bedaquiline

  • is used in treating Multi drug Resistant Tuberculosis.
  • As a result of its M Derivative it can cause QT Prolongation. Fmge 2024
  • The adverse events of bedaquiline include nausea ,and diarrhea.

 


Seat Belt syndrome

 

  • is specifically the injury to small intestine, peritoneum and mesenteric vessels which can be crushed.  There may be associated abdominal injuries
  • Sudden deceleration can cause Mesentric tears  or Torn Mesentry. In case of Poly trauma, this injury should be kept in mind. Fmge 2024
  • Visceral Perforation may accompany and that can lead to widespread peritoneal inflammation.

 

Subdural Hematoma

 

  • Ability of a student to recognize Haemorrhage  Type.
  • Imaging: The acute clotted blood initially appears concave convex hyperdense on CT scan. As it liquefies it slowly becomes black and afterwards it become isodense with
